I just wanted to give a shout out to my son, a budding photographer. He a blog that he posts to every Thursday. I encourage you to check it out. If you do you are in for a treat.
Fuzzy fluffy heads
nodding — moving — in time
to the robins’ cheerful
merry, springtime songs.
My debt paid in full —
Won’t suffer eternally.
Vict’ry over sin —
I’m free from captivity.
They say “It’s a gun Problem!”
But what if it is really a heart problem?
What would happen if…instead of arguing over guns…
We would all show compassion to each other,
Listen to each other,
Spend that time learning to know our neighbors
Spent time visiting with them,
And took the time to sit down and talk with the strange,
I was too busy on that first day of the week.
I had so much to do and a schedule to keep.
I didn’t see him, though he was right before my eyes.
I was too preoccupied when God went riding by.
Spring arrives with Winter’s
Cloak wrapped around her chilled shoulders
Sleep is an airplane
Whisking me to secret lands
Packed with adventures.
Fantasy realms to explore!
New creatures to discover!
Why do I always push snooze instead of waking up when my alarm clock rings?
Am I apathetic?
Why do I put off sitting at the feet of Christ and just listening?
Am I avoiding something?
Why do I dread my daily morning walks when I know that they will energize me and make me feel less depressed?
Am I trying to sabotage my health?
Since I have been so neglectful of my blog, I decided to create a new theme for Mondays that I’ll call “Monday Morning Mumblings.” I’m going to take the “Morning Pages” idea and apply it to my blog. So, “Monday Morning Mumblings” are my unedited thoughts straight from brain to the computer — misspellings and all! Hopefully, these weekly posts will help me get back into regular blogging. So here is my first “Monday Morning Mumblings”:
“ For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10
