My Daily Feast (FMF)

Daily I return
To the banquet table:
Nibble a bit on Proverbs,
Drink new wine freshly pressed
From the fruit of the Spirit,
Enjoy the nourishment of Psalms while
Leisurely strolling through green pastures,
After topping my feast off with divine Revelation,
I leave refreshed and renewed …
Ready to tackle another day.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”
Psalm 34:8

“For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.”
Psalm 107:9

On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples
a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wine,
of rich food full of marrow, of aged wine well refined.”
Isaiah 25:6

This week’s Five Minute Friday’s prompt was Return.

(For Five minute Friday we “Write for five minutes on the word of the week. This is meant to be a free write, which means: no editing, no over-thinking, no worrying about perfect grammar or punctuation. Just write.” (Quote from FMF site.)
