Betrayal

burning bridges left and right
knock them down
don’t hold them tight
let the anger from her pour —
shove him out —
lock the heart’s door.

anger comes
anger goes
flows from the head
out through the toes

bubbling up from deep within
bursting forth
an angry win
waves of anger come and go —
his deceit —
a fateful blow

“Betrayal” is a poem excerpt from a story that has been percolating inside me for a while.

    • Kiwinana, I’m sorry that I didn’t reply sooner. Life has been crazy and I’ve been neglecting my poor blog. Thank you for thinking of me. I’m glad that you enjoyed the poem. Your visits to my blog mean a lot to me. 🙂 When I created Sue’s Nook, I decided that because my readers’ enjoyment and visits are enough honor for me, it would be an award free blog. Thanks again for thinking of me I greatly appreciate it. 🙂
