My Life – A Ruby

The love of my Lord
is more precious than rubies
it restored my life.

Rescued from despair,
Pulled from the bottomless pit,
My life is precious.

Unfinished ruby,
the Creator’s workmanship,
a life long project.

A continuous work,
precious to the Prince of Peace,
My life – a ruby.

Inspired by Haiku Horizons’ prompt “Ruby”

    • Thank you for your comment and kind words. πŸ™‚ Sometimes I wanted to flee from the trials God allowed to come my way but looking back I can see how they’ve grown me and “smoothed the rough edges” in order that that this “ruby in progress” can slowly start to shine. I don’t think I’ll ever shout, “Hallelujah bring it on!” but I know that hardships are allowed for a reason. πŸ˜‰ Yes, I’m blessed.

  1. Very nice HaIku! Unfinished Ruby….like that. πŸ™‚ We are called “His Jewels” in Malachi 3:17
β€œThey shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts,β€œOn the day that I make them My jewels.
