Many Faces of Hope

Hope is a crocus
emerging from its snug bed
on a warm March day.

Hope is a rainbow
decorating the blue sky
after a tempest.

Hope is the pine cone
from a dead lodgepole pine tree,
life after a fire.

Hope is the hard heart,
softened by our Creator,
helping the hurting.

Inspired by Haiku Horizons’ prompt “hope”
